Dr Rosemarie Knight is a highly experienced Consultant Occupational and Environmental Physician with a unique combination of medical, occupational health and commercial expertise.

A Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (RACP), Dr Knight holds qualifications in Medicine, Science, Occupational Health and Safety, and Business Administration. Before entering medicine, she held senior executive roles in international corporate environments across business development, strategic planning, new technology, and research and development.

Dr Knight has worked exclusively in occupational health on the Gold Coast since 2009. Her extensive experience includes providing occupational health and risk management services to major organisations, government departments, and insurers.

Dr Knight played a significant role in the early identification of Australia’s silicosis epidemic and has supported workers, employers, insurers and regulators affected by silica exposure. Her contribution was recognised with the RACP AFOEM President’s Award in 2019. She was subsequently invited to contribute her expertise to the National Dust Diseases Taskforce working group responsible for developing national guidance for doctors assessing workers exposed to respirable crystalline silica.

Dr Knight also holds certification in AMA 5th and 6th Edition permanent impairment assessments, GEPI training, Medical Review Officer and Order 43 medical examiner qualifications, and ABIME training in medicolegal report writing and court testimony.

Her breadth of experience enables Dr Knight to provide informed, practical and independent medical assessments at the intersection of health and work.
